All of the details are then put together to make up the “blueprint” that will guide the doctor during the surgical and restorative processes through to finalization of the treatment.
The first and most crucial step in the dental implant process is the development of the treatment plan. The plan addresses your specific needs and is prepared by a team of professionals who are specially trained and experienced in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. This team approach provides coordinated care based on the implant option that is best for you. Planning essentially involves three stages – examination and diagnosis, surgical placement of implant or implants, and placement of the final restoration.
3.2. Implant Placement Procedure

The implant itself is gently and quite delicately threaded or tapped into position in the jawbone. While this is a surgical process, it’s also usually fairly comfortable, and discomfort after the surgery is quite minimal.

For the next six months, the bone grows in and around the implant in a process called osseointegration. Low temperatures tell the bone to grow better. If the implant moves, the bone does not fill in the holes, osseointegration does not occur. While this is happening, you could be wearing a temporary crown so no one knows you have an implant.
